This remodel inserted two contemporary kitchens into a mid 1990’s shingle style house. Our client had a sophisticated eye for modern detailing and wished to contrast those elements with the rest of the house. The main kitchen cabinetry is detailed with Shaker style paneling and white paint as a reference to the character of existing house. The stainless steel pot rack, custom D-ring cabinet pulls, flush counter edges and European style oak veneer island bring the design forward and provide a subtle contrast to the architecture. The kitchenette downstairs features poinsettia red glass tiles from Ann Sacks and fingerprint resistant stainless cabinets to provide a crisp edge to the recreation room.
