Virginia Ledgestone? - I love this stone, but when I looked at a sample of it...it looked much more orange. Did you pull out some of the orange pieces? »
Where would i be able to purchase a similar fire to this? It is just what i have been looking for only the one i want would be on a much smaller scale. »
charlietina I found the Majestic Echelon at a fireplace store in Phoenix, AZ. I would ask your local fireplace dealers. I also found another one very similar to this one called the Regency Horizon HZ54E. They also have a smaller version - the HZ42E. Again, I found these at my local fireplace stores and you can get the specs online.
I have a contemporary stone fireplace (gas) I would like to convert it to something a little more updated. I like the opening in this picture. Can you change an existing fireplace opening and/or how do you convert traditional gas logs to something more updated?

COASTROAD Hearth & Patio If no one else is jumping in, I suppose I will.
Not knowing exactly what you have, I'm hesitant to suggest anything in particular, but if your fireplace came as a unit - that is, the firebox, burner and logs came as an assembly - then you cannot change anything without removing and replacing the entire assembly.
On the other hand, if you have a wood-burning fireplace with gas logs installed, or if you have an unvented "universal" firebox, there are a number of things you could do to update the look . . .
Do you know precisely what you have? Do you have a photo?
Bamboo is an extremely stable material and it will last as long and wear as well as any wood floor.
It lends itself well to modern surroundings, mostly because it's a modern material.
