Hi, can you please reword the question? I don't quite understand what you are asking.

This isn't a separate base - The owner found a vintage credenza/dresser and simply chose not to paint the base section.

I thought the base was a separate piece. I have a large buffet on a single base. The buffet is actually two separate, 36" wide cabinets. I would like to separate the two cabinets, but need to figure out how to make or find a new base. Otherwise the cabinets would sit flush with the floor which would make them appear "squatty." Hope this clears up any confusion from my original question.
