Spinnaker Development This "eat at" island does extend past the face of the lower cabinets. This provides plenty of leg room and allows chairs to be stored out of the traffic area. The wood countertop extends roughly 12" past the cabinet on all 3 sides.
Rainbow Painting Company I don't think so, we use something similar and it's some kind of caesar stone, the island is a marble. Please check again. thanks
What is the length of the drawer pulls on the lower drawers? - Are the drawers to the right of the cooktop and under the microwave 36 inches? It looks great to use the knobs on the top drawer and pulls on the lower one. Beautiful ktichen »
Spinnaker Development Thank You! These are either 32 or 36" inch drawers. The knobs are 1 1/4" and the pulls are 6" I believe. It is a nice way to break up the hardware mixing & matching....
Spinnaker Development Thank you, we love Houzz! This space is roughly 20' x 18' to the header that separates the kitchen from the family. This room opens to another with vaulted ceilings... The kitchen has 8' ceilings with the small tray ceiling above the island
Could you tell me what the three different countertop materials are? Presumably marble on the island, but the table portion of the island and perimeter counters? »
Rebekah Zaveloff It looks like the table portion of the island is either pewter or zinc based on the edge detail and sheen. The perimeter counters look like a dark limestone like Lagos Azul, or possibly a honed black granite..or Basalt.
kbanewhouse The designer replied to me about these counters on another photo. This is what I was told:
- The perimeter counter in the kitchen are Caracus Blue Limestone (polished)
- Island counters are Calcutta Bollini Marble (polished)
- The eat at island is a custom stained wood top (concept was to match the darkest plank in our flooring) it took 12 attempts to get the color right.... It is a white washed lacquer stain
What's the ceiling light panel over the range hood and where can I get it? - I really like that rectangular shaped light fixture as it almost looks like a skylight - very creative idea! »
