karenszx6r The floor is a ground and polished floor. A standard concrete floor is laid and then the top layer is ground off leavi g the exposed aggregate showing and then the floor is highly polished
Polished Concrete Floor - This looks very much like POLISHED concrete- maybe a little stain, maybe not. I am staining my radiant-heated concrete slab floor but wished I had know about polishing before. Polishing brings out the aggregate that rests deeper within the concrete, giving it the multi-colored look. »
VC Studio Inc. Yes, the first picture is polished concrete. It looks like it was sealed but not stained. Concrete floors with radiant heat are a winning combination! There are so many options when it comes to concrete floors. Polishing can be great in the right place. With staining the color options are growing. Acid gives a great look but with a limited palette, messy clean up, and some colors contain chromium. There are great new stains and dyes in both water and solvent bases that will offer about two dozen color choices that can be blended into any number of combinations. I'll attach a picture of a sample tile that was created with only water based stains and dyes(over a thin micro topping). It was layered like you would create a water color painting. Concrete micro toppings can cover an existing slab as thin as 1/16" to resurface an ugly slab, add a pattern, change the surface texture, etc.

JoanneH They are made by Hafele a German company. They have suppliers in most countries world wide. Not all cabinet makers will do the ones that I mentioned to match your doors but a quality one will. These can be either painted or vinyl wrapped. Hope this helps. Hafele have a world site that you can click on the country you are in and the local supplier will come up. Just google Hafele. There on page 1.188 of the on line book. They are updating the book in the next few weeks. The page before and after also have similar options. Hafele do them in Plastic silver or stainless steel. The catalogue number is 126.37.990 for the one used in the picture I am almost sure. Blum may supply a similar product also.
Hope this has helped.
Love Love Love the lights - I have been looking for these lights and if they are LED then they are hard to find with the nice chrome square trim. Please let me know who the supplier is and how to contact them. »
Minimal: So when determining what makes a kitchen technically a "white kitchen," we're a little on the fence. Must it be all white, with only a contrasting floor and one pop of color? Must the countertops and appliances also be white? Please tell us what you think in the Comments section below.
There is a dash of color in the background of this all-white kitchen; accessories add jolts of bright color here. More:How to Pick the Right White PaintHot Ideas for Cool White SpacesLet It Snow!
Add warmth to a cool room. For this all-white kitchen, “we chose the artwork to bring some well-deserved color into the design,” says Andre Laurent, of Creative Space Architectural Design in New Zealand. “The three pieces break the image up into a more interesting format.”
