Custom wall-to-wall cabinetry, a desk built-in to a closet, antiques, original artwork, and an unusually comfortable and luxurious sofabed create a cozy and welcoming transitional style library/office space for a busy professional woman that doubles as an occasional guest room.
Unfortunately, the rich raspberry color of the wall has not reproduced well.
Sconces have shields on the bases to enhance comfort of reading while lying down.
Love this space. Wall colour is actually raspberry which I prefer to the orange. This cozy feel would be nice for the lounge converted to library/guestroom. Is it too cluttered? I don't think so, and guests would find it charming.
Admittedly this room is a little bit much for me. I think that the sheer number of books and other stuff on the shelves here would make me feel claustrophobic. But I can see why it would work for some people. The cozy space with that low-hanging wall lamp makes for a comfy spot to curl up so you're almost hugged by your stuff instead of overshadowed by it.
