can you please tell me where you purchased or who makes the blue gourd vase on the mantel? Is it crackle? »
Emily Ruddo They are not crackle. Contact me at emily@armoniadecors.com if you are interested in having me source similar ones for you. I offer remote design services for sourcing these kinds of accessories
Just purchased a gray sofa for a cottage and love the color combination of pink , turquoise ,white and gray. - Could I combine these colors onto the couch with pillows. I have a white wicker loveseat that I thought of covering the cushion in pink and white fabric. I have a large painting with blues and turquoise and a touch of pink. How would pillows in the matching pink and white along with a turquoise and white print pillows be on the gray couch ? »
The Pillow Studio I think the colors all sound great together- it would really come down to the patterns. I like to have one big pattern, one small pattern and one solid (or banded/piped).
Good luck!
(Btw, I included two grey/pink pillows that are favorites of mine.)
Emily Ruddo Hi Kahli - it's sold to the trade only through Quadrille. It comes in other colors as well. Let me know if you need help ordering if you aren't a designer.
Hello. Would you consider adding a 3rd or fourth colour into this existing design. I love the grey, blue, pink and white pallette and have been looking for inspiration for quite sometime. I love what you have going on here but I was wondering, if I do a similar pallette, if I would be "allowed" to a pale yellow or a bright green somewhere in the design using accessories. How would I do it? »
Emily Ruddo Hi _cancan_ ,
I am the designer of this room. I woudn't add yellow but as you see on the ottoman tray, I did add a hint of green with the vase. It is a calming muted color so it worked well against the white tray. The shells in the lantern are also a similar color green. Good luck!!
Mona Ives I wouldn't add yellow to THIS room because the charm of it is that it's so serene and calm. But if you were designing your own space with a similar color palette - pink, white/grey, and turquoise, I'd say you could add a few yellow accessories. The green to me doesn't work with both pink and turquoise. Beautiful room.
Emily Ruddo This is not a Stark rug but stark does make an identical color and pattern that you should get. I had this one custom made from a local carpet store here in LA.
color pallette and do i need to lose something to use the gray? i like this room! - hello........... i have a walnut brown leather sectional, khaki shag carpet, and pure white silk drapes. am willing to change flooring. i want to use pink. i love it here with gray. can i make it all work. i like to use black as well as white. would appreciate any suggestions and or pictures. thanx!!! »
What could have been a very traditional living area (the symmetry, the armchairs, et al) gets an update from a sizzling fuchsia print. Turquoise accents create a new take on another classic color combo: pink and blue.
Upholstery. Perhaps you already have the perfect chairs or sofa, but they simply need an updated look. Consider re-upholstering them in something fresh and new, like a bright, fun print. These traditional armchairs take on a contemporary spin in this pink and white pattern.
Make a large-scale statement with your fabric by reupholstering an accent chair. This is a great option if you have a chair that has sentimental value or is so comfy and sturdy that it is worth re-covering.Browse floral home accessoriesMore: How to Re-Cover a Seat CushionHow to Layer Patterns RightZigzag Jazzes Up a Kids' Room
Ikat gets pretty in pink in this charming room by Emily Ruddo. While the color is like that of bubble gum, it isn't too sweet thanks to the sophisticated print.
This fireplace mantel blends into the background. The color closely matches the wall color, while bright accessories top the mantel and bold textiles draw your eye away from the fireplace. This might be a good strategy to use if your fireplace is not functional but still serves as a fixture in the room.
Pink UpholsteryUnexpected bright pink on very traditional chairs. It looks great with the turquoise accessories and adds just a tiny bit of sizzle to a seriously buttoned-up room.
