Huntington Village Renovation

The eave and overhang from the front Porch carries all around the house to the rear, to create an intimate scale for the otherwise awkward side elevation. Now the low-pitched rear roof has the appearance of being dormered, rather than unbalanced as before.

A new Pergola and railings at the existing deck carry the new Arts and Crafts architecture into the landscape.

Sorry I never saw the double-dipped question. When you order cedar shingles pre-stained, then can dip them once in the stain, which takes about a week to order, or they can double-dip them, which takes more like a month, because of the extended drying times before they can repackage them to ship.

As for the roof color, it is a GAF Timberline roof, and the color was either black or charcoal. Sorry I don't have the exact color name, and since that time, roofing in the US has gone Metric, and many, if not all of the granule colors has been remixed and named as well, so we generally have to re-roof a house that was recently roofed, if we are doing an addition or repair, to get an exact match.
