Monica - Where did you get the x stools or r they custom »
Shannon Berrey Design The x-benches came from K-Mart {!} They were originally a zebra print cushion with dark wood base. I painted the base green, distressed slightly and then finished with a dark wax. I made slipcovers for the top out of a Dash and Albert cotton rug, piped with yellow fabric.
Shannon Berrey Design I made the monogrammed lampshades with felt and then added ball fringe. If you'd like to see the tutorial, visit my blog {www.shannonberrey.com} and enter 'DIY monogram lampshade' in the search bar in the right column.
What color/brand for paint stripes? - Love the stripes on the walls. What brand and color of paints were used? Also, what paint color is used on the nightstands and pieces at the foot of the bed. I love this room and want to recreate it for my daughter!
Thanks! »
Shannon Berrey Design The nightstands were vintage pieces I found from an estate sale--they were stained and had a marble insert. I painted them and kept the original cut glass/brass hardware. Aren't they great?! The x-benches at the end of the bed are from K-mart!! They were stained brown and upholstered in a {not-so-pretty} zebra fabric. I painted the bases green and glazed them. Then I made the slipcovers out of a Dash and Albert cotton rug piped in yellow. Here is the link on my blog where I give more info: http://shannonberrey.com/_blog/Shannon_Berrey_Design_Blog/post/Rug/
