One of the goal's of the homeowners of this expansive contemporary home, was to include some element of the family's Scottish background. To do this, I had their Scottish family crest engraved into the glass of the table base so that it would be viewable from many directions. To achieve this, I used a glass engraver accomplished with reverse glass carving, which is practically a lost art. The piece of glass was held in place with a custom gold metal base.
