Mountain Ranch Living Room

Open beamed ceiling in this new mountain ranch. This is a real working cattle ranch. The rustic beams are handscraped with hand wrought iron straps, custom made for these beams. Ceilings are covered in pine planks, aged with glaze to look old. Soft green comfortable chenille sofas are custom made for the space, as is all the other handscraped furniture. Custom made handwrought iron lighting.

Maraya Interior Design yes, they are custom, sorry. The owner picked the really expensive fabric, and we had them made.

Maraya Interior Design The painters used their own tints. It is not a bought color stain. However, you can go to the paint store and get a medium brown stain that is not too yellow, orange or green. Then, put a 'glaze coat' over it: a gel stain that is darker, and wipe it off.

ginatrainor Thanks for your reply. I finally used a Minwax Golden Oak and it turned out to be the perfect shade of brown. On other woods I used for samples, it had an orangish tint but when applied on the beams, it came out perfect. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Maraya Interior Design This sofa came through us, custom designed and made, with a soft moss colored chenille. All hand tied, kiln dried and down covered. We can make this any size, any shape, any fabric.

The "feel" of the room is great. Like the earth tones and green touches. Would not use animals skins however. The stone walks and layout of the room are great.
