Thank you for your question. I asked the contractor to cover this focal wall with wide v-groove board, much like I used in the home's kitchen at the backsplash and gable peaks. I had the board painted a creamy white using non-toxic Mythic Paint. I like to add visual texture to walls, especially when designing with simple materials and varying shades of white. Other textures, such as the warm wood accents, keep this room from feeling cold or sterile. I like using horizontal plank (vs. the vertical I used downstairs) for a more casual, beachy feel.
