Carla Aston | Interior Designer Yes, it's sisal. It's durable and more cleanable than seagrass. It is a little scratchy underfoot, but I was going for that change in textures between the sisal and the flokati.
how do you hang that long rod w/out middle support - I have a slider and I cant separate the curtains to part on either side i need them to stack to one side which means i cant have a middle support but i do not know where to find a rod suitable which will not bend or sag in the middle. Any suggestions? Lovely design! »
Custom Home Planning Center The gauge of the rods will dictate the span. I've used chromed steel pipe on spans up to 18', but these are not light and require additional backing in the walls. ( an extra stud or two for each end.)

If you are leery of painting a solid door black because of how dark it may make your room, the frames of a French door are a good place to start. You still get that touch of classic black, but the glass panels will allow plenty of light to filter in. Pair them with wispy white curtains for a breathtaking view.
