Corbel and crown treatment - I love the corbel / crown treatment at the ceiling line. Would you please confirm the dimensions of the corbels. And where could I purchase them? Any additional information you care to share on how to build that crown stack would be appreciated. »
What is name of decorative tile on backsplash? And where can I find it? - I would love to put that in my kitchen. Doing a major remodel now. Your quick answer would be appreciated. »
Goforth Gill Architects They are pressed tin tiles. Historically this was used on ceilings. The homeowner purchased it directly and I don't know exactly what it is. But I think if you look online you can find similar tiles.
Beautiful kitchen! Can you please tell me what the overall dimensions of this kitchen are? - I was also wondering what the fourth wall looked like...
Thanks! »
momof5x Very beautiful kitchen, don't have an island yet-I would love one as I cook a very lot, waiting to get one in our new house though-if I get one.
LB Decor and Designs Hi,
Since the tiles look to be 12 inches I am "guessing" that there is about 2.5 to 3 feet from the counter to the island.
Ideally there would be about 4 feet in between aisles in the kitchen. However....3 feet from an island to the sink area or cooking area is acceptable because normally you would need to be going back and forth between sink/stove/fridge and island. There is already a sink on this island (which is super handy) and there seems to be a comfortable working distance between fridge, stove and island to make it completely functional.
This kitchen is really nice :o)
Same thing goes for vinyl flooring — you're going to have a hard time selling if it's old, torn or stained. Replace it with a clean, neutral vinyl or vinyl composite tile (VCT).
Says island is 2'x8' (almost the right size for the space I'm thinking of) and the kitchen is pretty much the same size as our new kitchen with an eat in nook, too.
Love contrast of wall color and white cabinets. Architects would not share wall color in Q&A section. Said, "We don't keep a record of our wall colors." Lame.
