Not a new concept, never new fabric, but always a fresh look. Take or find old fabric and blend them on your couch or on your bed or even also with nearby curtains. Some fabric wholesalers wanting to rid themselves of excess inventory will even give away randomly-sized swatches. You just have to know how to access them. Ask around.

it would be too easy to add the splash of colour using an inexpensice reading lamp...just use spray paint to get the colour I want.

The play on color and patterns here is spot on! Its colorful, but not overtly so. In fact, I love it so much, I am thinking about doing something similar in my den!
