bepsf Since we know the countertops are 36" high - and the wainscot appears to be roughly twice that height - We can guess that it's @ 72" high.

We used beadboard to cover up a dated formica backsplash in our 1920's bungalow kitchen...it looks terrific, and very period. Beadboard was a material traditionally used in the kitchen and in servant's quarters (back bedrooms). We love our beadboard backsplash upon which we used a high gloss Dutch Boy interior paint.
