ASVInteriors Bear in mind that as a real Ofuro made from Hinoki wood, you should only wash OUTSIDE of it (as they do in Japan) ... if you get inside and use soap products or oils it will damage the wood long-term..

In addition, the Ofuro pictured here is made of teak. Bartok clearly states, "We will not build a tub in teak or any other imported hardwood."
