This house had been deteriorating and in use as a rental until 2005 when a series of renovations were begun to erase years of neglect. An awkward daylight basement was gutted down to bare earth to create a guest suite, extra kitchen, storage, laundry, and media room. The walls of the main floor were re-plastered to eliminate a heavy stucco texture. The kitchen and powder room were gutted. And a breakfast room was re-imagined as a small TV room and lounge off the kitchen. One of the four bedrooms on the top floor was converted to a home office while the smallest of the bedrooms was converted to a walk-in-closet.

Can you tell me where you found the pendant lights? Thanks for your help! »
Ronique Gibson These would fall under the category of 'signage'. These are similar to office building type letters that you would find near a receptionist desk. :)
Although, you don't have to buy them from a commercial place - but it may give you more variety of typography if you do.
I did a search for "stainless steel lettering house interiors" and came up with quite a few sites.
This one in particular has very modern looking ones, similar to this picture:
This image has been a Houzz favorite ever since it was first posted. I always wonder if it was created to be a work of art, or if such a large sign that says "THERAPY" really hung outside some psychiatrist's office.
I think I may have set a record for how many times I've used this image in an ideabook, but it never gets old to me. I love the thought of a therapy sign in the dining room. I guarantee these folks have never had a boring dinner party. And yes, I've probably said that before!
These stainless steel letters are the statement piece of the room, in a literal sense! Perhaps the best part of the signage here is the curiosity and conversation it evokes. Don't you wonder why the homeowner chose this word? I love the mystery behind it.
Where do you find large metal letters like that? I am having a hard time finding them. Thanks!

When the kids are chaotic, the house is a mess and your daily calendar is exploding at the seams, it’s easy to begin dreaming of that elusive couch that makes your problems magically disappear. Even though this house is pristine, it’s nice to know the homeowner has those moments too.
