Anne DeCocco Ok, in Ben Moore's Classic Colors, look at Ansonia Peach/HC-52, Hathaway Peach/HC-53 and Roxbury Caramel/HC-42. It could also be a custom color. I'm thinking a wash of Ansonia Peach, maybe toned down a bit with a drop of black. Anyone else out there want to chime in with a color formula? It's fun once you get going. We could make stone soup! LOL.
T Alligood I'm confused as well; in looking at the source listed for his windows (Window Craft), all windows are tight grained Douglas Fir, which has a light orange-y color. Hmmm...painted or no?
A quilt hanging on the wall is also a great alternative to a headboard. The quilt adds pattern and interest to the room, and even offers a bit of cushioning if you are sitting up in bed.
If you don't have a headboard, create the illusion of one by hanging a quilt on the wall above the bed. It can cozy up a room and create interesting proportions with dramatic height.Browse more headboard ideas
