Stone. $7-14/square foot
Stone is the oldest building material in existence for good reason. As a siding material, stone makes for a beautifully textured facade that will last as long as the house. In the right geographic location (i.e. low earthquake risk), a stone residence can hold up for centuries with little or no maintenance.
