Scrimshaw was an art practiced by sailors on whaling ships out at sea. It usually consisted of elaborate whaling scenes incised into the teeth of whales. The scrimshaw melamine collection looks to recapture the feeling of this art form, luckily, no whales were harmed in it's manufacture.
This tray is made from high quality, dishwasher safe melamine. It is patterned with exclusive thomaspaul designs and colors, referencing traditional motifs often used in fine china, but reinterpreted in a fun and modern way.
Sold in a set of four, featuring all four pictured designs.
