Entry is original to townhouse was not modified only painted and floors refinished. Small piece of furniture, like this antique Chinese cabinet offer a surface to rest keys and provide focal point in an othewise plain space. The double height ceiling allows plenty of light into this area. The light fixture was not replaced as of yet, but purchased and discovred it was too heavy to install. This is one of those coordination issues we should have talked to the contractor about before ordering such a heavy fixture.
