Vanessa Brunner Even if you end up moving the furniture indoors during the winter, it's always a good idea to implement furniture/accessories that resist mold, mildew, humidity, and water in an outdoor (or semi-outdoor) area. I'd definitely try to find a mattress that resists mold and mildew for a sleeping porch. This site is a great resource for porch accessories: http://www.porchbeds.biz/outdoor_mattress/outdoor_mattress.html
I slept on a sleeping porch for 4 years in college. It's something I've always wanted to incorporate into a house/summer house. This look feels and looks so inviting.
