Bright Arlington Kitchen

A flip up butcher block countertop extends the counterspace on this island and also offers a spot for someone to pull up a stool in the kitchen. We used antique metal brackets that fold flat against the cabinet when not in use.

We purchased antique drop leaf table supports for this flip up countertop from They were one of a kind so I'm not sure you can find them again. They are hinged and attach to the cabinet, and lay flat against the side of the cabinet when not in use.
