The owners of this house wanted to create a light and airy bedroom with a transitional Scandinavian modern style. Their preference was to keep it light and bright with some color touches to enliven an otherwise neutral color pattern. Two Stardust icons were used. The Artemide Tolomeo Wall Lamp was designed by Michele de Lucchi and the iconic Egg Chair is an original authorized Arne Jacobsen design by Fritz Hansen from Denmark. Bedrooms usually have a limited amount of space so it's best to stick to a single iconic chair. The Fritz Hansen Egg Chair may be a bit of a splurge but it serves as a sculptural element in the room so it is well worth it. For the owners, authenticity was very important since they have to live with this furniture day in day out. The Egg Chair was upholstered in the fabric of our choice, a beautiful Divina upholstery (style 662) from Kvadrat. We still have a matching Arne Jacobsen Swan Chair in this upholstery on our showroom floor! An alternative for the Swan Chair would be the Frank Gehry Wiggle Chair; equally iconic, the Wiggle Chair is a great accent chair as well when placed in a corner of a room.
