I like the flexibility this bench seat adds to the dining room. It makes a small space more usable than it would be and it also makes it easy to remove the dining table to turn the space into a cocktail party space that already has some seating.
The light color, the symmetry, the sleek classic table shape, the textiles--all do their part in creating this chic gathering space that whispers hints of English charm.
There is enough symmetry, beautiful cabinetry and lovely lighting to get me excited about this space. Restrained and classic, yet interesting with the pale blue wall color and built-in bench. I could see enjoying a nice afternoon talking with friends in this nook.
I like the chandelier above the table. It would suit the attic. The built-ins in this photo create a recess that they're using for a bench, and this bench is used for seating at the table. I like that. Though, I don't think we have enough vertical space against our loft walls to do something like this.
