Yum. If could get my hands on these walls I'd spice things up with artwork that interacts with the eggplant and the gold.

This very European bathroom is dramatic in its contrast of black, white, and gold--but I like to imagine what it would look like with dark marine-navy walls and tub, and a natural wood floor, with the gold accenting. Maybe much more of the same kind of art on the wall? When covering such a large area with such dark paint, I was recently reminded by a photo in a back copy of Architectural Digest, how high gloss helps attract light and keep the dark from being too dark.
