Would love to know your resource for the iron staircase. Looking to have a staircase like this one built.
Thanks for your help.

Kameo - here's an example with the treads extending out over the beam and how they have to construct the "wedge" to change the angle that the tread sits on.

this one with glass. this was Rahul's original idea for the library.
Interesting...we could still do something creative with the space along the wAll and below the staircase
Barcelona chair, door with horizontal windows, wood floors, bookcases, windows with individual glass panes (metal mullions/muntins) - also, only part of the window opens, rather than the whole thing
The landing is interesting with the style of having the stair starting for on top of a platform. also interesting to have something on the wall behind the stair ( the bookshelf in this case)
Besides the Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 'Barcelona Chair' (actually designed long before the mid-century mark of the 1950s -- it was designed in 1929 -- but it is so sleek & modern it is often grouped in with mid-century furniture), I love the modern landing concept and how it puts you in good reach of the floating bookshelf to the side of the stairs. This is a beautiful modern vignette of cube shapes! Great proportions. I also dig the modern door, with its frosted sand-blasted glass panels.
The Barcelona Chair fits beautifully under the stairs. This makes a very modern reading nook.
