I have also considered a rattan chair since ours is a beach house...although the table doesn't look it...we are in Mexico. Thanks for you suggestions, I really appreciate it!
Hullinger stuck to very organic materials in his beach house. Wood grain, natural textiles, and soft colors are present in every room. He made the stacked wood back wall in this family room by hand; it's formed entirely from salvaged materials found on site from the remodel and other projects in the area. This stacked wood element covers a small corner wall in the family room. Although the wood was salvaged, most of the pieces were about the same color. Hullinger wanted more variety, so he stained many pieces prior to placing them on the wall.
2. The accent wall. If you look closely at this interior, you will notice that the designer utilized various finishes and sizes of scrap wood. The result is a mesmerizing installation that keeps your sense of sight engaged.See the rest of this home
