Here is refinement with a rustic element. The cabinetry offers more permanent display while the piece to the left offers a surface for serving if desired. Love the openness of the space, for navigating up and down for delicious seconds.

I love this whitewashed wood floor and the old chairs. I believe those are real candles in the chandelier, too, which is way cool.

DRAPE. Though this room is beautiful and obviously not student housing, it shows how a simple draping over a table can create a simple elegance--perfect for covering a questionable piece of furniture, creating elegance for small apartment parties--and providing an appealing alternative to (shutter briefly with me:) mini blinds.
