Super White Granite vs. White Princess Granite? - I am looking for a marble alternative and was told to look at Whtie Princess. Is this the same or is this a different color? Does it go by any other names? »
sandraz Sealing it would u need a professional to do it or can we do it. Is it really expensive as well. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question s
tsibbitt The retail outlet where you purchase the quartzite seals it for you when they install it...Ours was $83.00 per square foot...We are located in Omaha, Nebraska
Roloff Construction, Inc I am so sorry! I hope your fabricator will honor what you have contracted with him. If not there are great sealers out there that will prevent staining (just had this conversation with my fabricator).
The Sky is the Limit Design I know this is very dishardening and especially after a lengthy renovation nerves are pretty blank. You and I know that once this has been sorted out it will make one of those great stories about the pitfalls of renovations at social gatherings - after all, those design TV shows are full of them, but until then there is nothing else but trying to resolve this issue.
The first step is to bring up this issue with your supplier. Did you pay the final bill already, or do you have it on a creditcard - then stop the payment immediately!
Consider the worst case scenario - having the counters removed and replaced with a suitable product. Don't let anyone install your backsplash tile if you have one until you have resolved the counters.
You will have to consider approaching the Better Business Bureau - if you used a reputable company they will want to resolve this issue as best as they can. if they are not, then you might have to bite the bullet and incur additional cost for the replacement with another company, and go to Small Claims Court.
If you have something like a Home Builders Association in your town, give them a call and ask for advise.
|What you are encountering is the reality in construction, and some mistakes are honest mistakes ( although a stone supplier should know what it is they are selling...), and hopefully you are dealing with decent people who are eager to resolve this.
