The dining room was completed during the second architectural phase; it adjoins the kitchen. The mercury glass mirrored niche creates the illusion of a larger space and reflects the green of the garden. The mirror-fronted buffet enhances the effect. The silver chandelier is Spanish and the floors are oak with mahogany inlays.

CWB Architects The buffet cabinet is vintage from a dealer in Florida and the antiqued mirror surround behind the cabinet are custom cut and installed panels by Stanley Schoen Glass here in New York.
This room struck me as highly versatile. I love the cool gray of the walls and the slight shimmer of that mirror. In this photo, the pale linens give the room a summer or spring feel, but a darker color and heavier accessories could dress the room up even more for the winter.
Another beautiful dining room aglow in silver...from the mercury glass niche wall to the beautiful Spanish silver chandelier. I have a feeling this photo doesn't begin to do this room justice. It must be a truly amazing space in which to dine!
Want even more from your mirrors? Fill a whole wall with mirrors and add mirrored furniture to give the illusion of another room just beyond view. Placing candles and beautiful flowers where they will be reflected in the mirror doubles their beauty.
