Crisp Architects Thanks for the compliment @NYK Realty! As for the cross rail, @dnavins, the cross rail was field determined as not to obstruct the homeowners view while sitting. Approx. 3’-0”.The width of the bar was determined by the custom screen frame maker to conceal the aluminum screen frames. Hope this helps, sorry for the late reply.
Question about the columns. - Are these real columns? I have a front porch with columns that I have wanted to turn into a sunroom, but have never seen this done with round columns. So is it possible? »
Crisp Architects These columns were not existing, however they are in fact whole columns, half is shown on the inside and half on the exterior. The screens were able to be attached to the columns. Depending on the quality of your existing columns, your contractor may or may not be able to do this. The existing column has to be strong enough to support the screens.
