Nick Deaver Architect calls this house Walkabout, but it is located in suburban Austin, not Australia. The name is apt both for the building's vernacular appearance (covered in corrugated metal) and the low-maintenance landscaping, recalling a place more remote than it is. The linear house carefully locates shaded patios on different sides to provide outdoor space for different times of the day.

There's no ridge with a skillion and lean-to roof. Visual interest comes from the juxtaposition of the separate planes of the roof angles.
