10. Harvest. I have to admit, I was puzzled when I first read about the trend called, "harvest." Designing around agriculture? As I read further, though, I realized that the trend is really about family, togetherness, and comfort - the characteristics we often associate with the time of year around Thanksgiving. It's about creating spaces that celebrate togetherness and comfort.

this is exactly the chord i want to strike between contemporary and traditional style in my family room. Love the sofa and chair modern style and subtle color with warm window casings and no drapery. the simple light and photograph balance the more traditional items on the coffee table. LOVE!
