7. Put baby in the corner. (I know. I'm sorry about the bad joke.) Corner desks add extra usable workspace and make it easier to stay organized.

Light colors and natural light from windows creates a soothing space to work in. Materials (fabrics, wallcoverings, window coverings) makes a big difference, too.
