Are tiles like this cold-climate friendly? - I live in Chicagoand - these tiles would really liven up the drab basement stairwell which I would like my pool guests to use for changing/restroom access. Would these hold up through a classic Chicago winter? »
Villa Lagoon Tile We have actually tested our cement tile by repeatedly freezing and thawing our tile (first just wet, then even half-submerged in a bucket of water). Nothing we did ever caused any visible damage or fatigue. If you'd like, you can read up about it on our site... the easiest way to find it would be to go to the FAQ under Cement Tile, where about half way down we ask "Are Villa Lagoon Tiles frost-proof ?" Good luck with your project ! By the way, this is a beautiful installation.
custom-tiles.com Modern techniques allow custom printing on tile, so you can select your own artwork, designs, and colors. You can have them printed on your choice of tile size. Do a search for 'custom printed tiles' and find several sources.
