sherryglewis We have an original in my Great Grandmothers home. Made back in the day of the claw foot bathtubs we love. The sides of the sinks are like buildt in drain boards. We use wire or plastic baskets today. I too LOVE the sink !
Anne DeCocco Oh, what a lovely laundry room! LOVE that TV in the upper corner. Maybe ironing isn't such a chore in this house. When buying an ironing board, look for one that is sturdy and stable. Also, having the metal iron holder on the end is extremely handy. Recently I saw a cordless iron. I want it!
Bockman + Forbes Design It was a happy accident; found it while doing some exterior excavation for their New Orleans-style basement. We love to reuse and re-purpose. Signature Hardware does have some cool reproductions...
Where do I find fawcets to old sinks like this? - I have 2 old sink such as these, BUT 1 of my sinks is a double drainboard. I want Fawcets like an original OR original. Can anyone tell me where I could find these Fawcets? »
Ah, ironing. The bane of my existence. It would be nice to keep the board right with the laundry. Instead of making some endless pile of items that in my case, would never be seen again, one could take them right out of the dryer and press them immediately!
8. This may be my favorite laundry room accoutrement of all...a television! I'm not a big t.v. watcher, but clothes will almost iron themselves when you're watching your favorite show or movie.
Current trough sinks are often inspired by their vintage counterparts. Complete with drainboards on each side, this is a great spot for hand washing clothes or cutting flowers for arrangements.
