Kipnis Architecture + Planning The angle is 7º for the backrest and the height is 22". The seat is set at 18" to the top of the cushion, which we assumed was 2" thick.
Kipnis Architecture + Planning I believe that the bench was set up to be at 17". That allowed 2" more for the cushions, making the seat a total of 19" high at its finished height. 18" - 20" works well for seat heights.
can you tell me the dimensions of the seat? I have a nook in my kitchen I am want to build a banquette in, but I"m not sure if it is deep enough. mainly concerned about the two ends, not so much the longer seat across the back. »
Kipnis Architecture + Planning The overall bay is 10'-2" wide, and the depth of the seating is 24", which includes the sloped backs. The returns on the sides are 3'-6" from edge to the wall of the bay.
lilysmama I absolutely love this built in!!! I am in need of an L-shaped bench but this is so beautiful! Are there plans available for this bench that we could make a few custom changes to so it could fit our space? thank you!!
idea for shorter bench space and then the rest of the room is bumped out farther. This seat is only 3'6" from front end to back wall, but it's too short. Need at least 4' to be able to eat at each end...probably closer to 5' deep.
