insipidperson Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I really love that floor and wish I could replicate it at my own home. Do you have tips on how I could go about searching for that "honey golden hue" on hand-scraped hickory floors? A sample of hand-scraped hickory floor in natural finish I picked up from a flooring store just doesn't seem to have the same hue, though it's beautiful in all the other ways. If you have names of vendors I could look into, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sophisticated county style. Love this so much. The panelled end of the island, the bulky timber range hood, the gorgeous windows and doors to a balcony/deck, the lights, the flooring and the display cabinets on the back wall. Works so beautifully.

I love the large separate work areas and visual themes for multiple cooks, combined with a fairly tight work triangle for one person. The range area is generous, as is the storage wall. I will probably need full size fridge and freezer, but this is a good layout.
