If the metal look is too unfinished for your taste, it can be painted with a little preparation. Here the focus is more on the color and wavy pattern of the door, versus its sheen. To clean, start with a solution of chlorinated bleach, warm water and T.S.P followed by a galvanized metal primer. Allow metal to completely dry after each step.
