What other colors might one pair with this for a rustic lakehouse? I'm thinking something in blue, yellow and neutrals but don't know how to pull it all together. Can you help with suggestions to keep the rooms focused yet varied? »
Global Living The floor rug shown in the photo is actually a great place to begin your inspiration for color. Are you looking to bring in color in your furniture, or accessories? Do you have a photo of the room in question?
Global Living This is a home we used as part of pur photo shoot so unfortunately I don't know what the wood frame is made from. If I were to guess, I would say it might be oak.
Global Living Without seeing the furniture in the room, as well as room size etc it's hard to suggest a ceiling color, but I would not paint it the same color.
Good luck!
inkwitch Thanks! It looks good in this photo, but wall color in photos are notorious for looking nothing like the real thing. However, I'm hoping! I want to paint my dining room a shade of olive. The quandary is how dark to go.
Here's another set that isn't quite stackable. What I want to draw attention to here is the lamp, though, that mimics the nesting table idea in its design. One of those sitting on true nesting tables would be a great touch!
Interior design is all about intention and sometimes the intention is to complement rather than contrast. Here's a near-neutral green complementing dark stained wood. Near-neutrals allow anybody to have a whole room make a statement rather than a particular element in a room.
Sage Green. Sage green can turn your space into an organic, earthy and restful retreat. This color represents the woodlands and it looks great with other natural colors such as brown and taupe.

I am not a person that enjoys Dark Walls, but when you have worked with Customers, you are there to please them, and this. Feels like one of those Homes. When it is completed, you feel like you must rush right home, and make a definite change. Just Beautiful!
