A hillside above Baker Beach was reclaimed and allows the client to get closer to the elements via stone stairs and terraces. The Plantings that were used are site appropriate for this very exposed coastal property.
Of course, you needn't tone down your personal style just because you live on the coast. For many people, the seaside is associated with holidays and happy times as a child, so why not incorporate that festive spirit into your landscaping? These chairs have a sense of fun, yet their swooping shape still fits in with the curving lines of the water's edge.
Subtle is good, but bold isn't out of place. Though these colors are often thought of as tropical, the orange of the cushions does reflect the shade on the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance — and is a bright spot in a foggy Northern California location.
The Golden Gate Bridge is one of my all-time favorite views when it comes to man-made beauty. With the bridge as a backdrop, what better color than orange for the lounge chairs? I love the green railing and white posts against the color of the bay.
Have Fun and thanks for checking out our work.
