When choosing a color palette, look for neutral or jewel-based tones. Wood paneling also fits in with a traditional look, and ornate moldings are a must. Get the look on a budget: Installing a chair rail around the room will add a finishing touch.

Add symmetry to a room with a pair of blue-and-white urns. Filling porcelain with something fresh helps make the look applicable to all seasons and all holidays. I would put greenery or flowers in these to really make a statement.
