Ogawa Fisher Architects Hi,
I believe rubber floor tiles are around $6 - $7 per square foot for the material. We typically have the contractor supply the material and installation (including any necessary adhesives) but rubber floor tiles are available at showrooms and stores as well. The tiles are usually sold in packs of 20. I hope that helps!
Is any rubber floor available from retail stores? - For several years, I have looked at rubber floors and love the idea, but every source I have found sells only wholesale to dealers, and often for commercial use. Does this have to be purchased through a designer or what? »
Ogawa Fisher Architects Have you tried a flooring showroom? Rubber flooring is typically available in stores that sell vinyl flooring and carpet. They should be able to sell to you directly. In addition to designers, contractors can also purchase rubber flooring through wholesale vendors. Good luck!
Ogawa Fisher Architects Hi, thank you for your question. The flooring is Flexco rubber floor tiles, with a radial pattern.

Ogawa Fisher Architects Hi, the owners selected the paint colors, and I just heard back that they didn't save the specifications. Sorry I can't help you more - my advice would be to do several large swatches in your room so you can see them in different areas at different times of the day. And of course it helps to tie the color in with other finishes, other room colors, and furniture.
Window casing detail - I am fascinated with the detail over the dining area window. Is that a metal detail, or perhaps part of a curtaining system? I went on the Ogawa Fisher Architects website hoping for more views of this, but found nothing. »
msmorales Thank you so much for the speedy reply! Probably he is not close enough (San Antonio) to make that practical, but I would love to see a photo of the window and curtains if that is possible. I could send you my email address or perhaps you could post a link if such a photo is already out there. I am installing new casings around some windows that will look very similar to this, but have been unsure about how to position curtain rods. I won't copy his design, but might find something similar, and I would love to see the final window treatment and how the rods and brackets look! BTW had a chuckle over the boat motor used as "sculpture"! Clearly a family of boating enthusiasts!
Ogawa Fisher Architects Unfortunately, I don't have any additional photos of the curtain or curtain rods, but I am happy to get you in touch with the metal fabricator, who can probably send you additional images and possibly a quote. If you can send your email address to hiromi@ogawafisher.com, I can make the connection. Thanks.
Ogawa Fisher Architects both kitchen cabinet types are from IKEA. They frequently change their finish options, so the exact match may not be available, but we find that they always have a good selection.
Ogawa Fisher Architects Hi, I think Vanessa meant Flooring: Flexco (the IKEA refers to the kitchen cabinets and pantry paneling). You can find more information on Flexco flooring here:
Rubber tile flooring was a practical choice that also went well with the kitchen's industrial feel. Ogawa and Fisher built a full-height pantry on one side of the kitchen (the wood panel visible to the left in this photo). This piece was designed to look more like a piece of furniture than a storage unit, but it saves drawer space and makes up for the lack of upper cabinetry.
