same space as last photo but casual dining as we are proposing for ours. interesting how ceiling beams change direction. are these ceilings as high as you would like to see? would it be interesting to have an arch detail in ceiling between the two spaces? i would think double hung windows on both east and south wall of this space to be consistent with existing but nanawindows could be a possibility? we frequently need easy access to east wind in summer (i use the awning window on arched window in living room to get circulation in otherwise stifling heat at my house). could not do doors here as you would need to start the steps down outside to have an access point to front of house i think? unless steps start on south/east corner where gate currently is?
