How wide is the door opening? - Is it your standard 2 1/2 feet? Do you think a split door would work in place of a regular bedroom door? The spot I'm thinking of is at the end of a short hallway. Thanks. Just love your design. »
featherhome I cannot find words to describe the beauty of your design work. Which door knobs did you use for the bathroom doors? I can't tell if they are round or oval.
built-ins hardware -- lovely - Hi Julie, Will you please share the manufacturer and style namenumber of the hardware on the built-ins -- the valet and dressing area cabinet? Thanks! Also so door knobs>? Many thanks. »

Wall color - Julie you mentioned in a previous post that the wall color is a custom reformulation of Benjamin Moore's Aura Stone. Can you please explain what that means? Did you alter the standard BM "Stone" color to look different? I really love the color you used and want to use the same exact color in my house. Thank you »
Tyra Wahl Maybe it means that the color value is 05% darker than their original formula.... you can go lighter and darker inside a color for more or less depth of color.... the computer at BM will do this no problem.
Are there blue tones in the wall paint? - Are there blue tones in the paint? I want to use this in our bedroom and but my husband says it'll look too blue.
It appears more beige/gray than blue to me.
Thank you. »
Julie Williams Design if you mean the larger Piece in the back, there is a walk-in closet to the right and through the door on the left is the master bath. The small piece in the foreground is a valet cabinet, which holds a charging station in the top drawer and a hamper in the bottom, with storage for scarves etc in between. This is one of two, his and hers, and the dressing area above is hers of course.
gbelle4tide Any way to see the rest of the bedroom that goes along with this?? These are pretty much the exact colors I am using and could use some advice on furniture, bedding and windows to keep a calm look without looking too "modern".
Julie Williams Design The doors were custom ordered to split like this, all doors and windows on this project came from a local window and door provider.
Julie Williams Design The colorist created a custom color using Benjamin Moore Stone, these are her notes: .05 Benjamin Moore (reformulate color as a special match from Yolo Colorhouse). Please see this post about trying to match colors online, which I have talked incessantly about; http://morethanarchitects.wordpress.com/2012/03/18/what-color-did-you-use-on/
I would love to know the color! Someone posted that they thought it was Wall Street by Valspar; I just returned from Lowes and while Wall Street is indeed a fantastic color, it doesn't appear to be a match for this gray. Great spaces, great details...thank you for posing Julie! »
