nanismino Too bad I don't live in Chicago otherwise I would ask you to remodel my bathroom :o) Here is a drawing of the measurement I am looking for. Not sure how the contractor is planning to build the canopy/sofit but I want the dimensions to make sure it will look similar to yours.

missangel99 Thanks Emily! I chose an espresso paint called bittersweet by BM. Didn't like the espresso stain my cabinet people had. Hope it turns out ok.

Inspired Interiors Annie has a great point! Applying makeup in a room full of natural light is ideal. The overall electrical plan in this bathroom creates plenty of general lighting for makeup applications.
