Hi there,

Depending upon how texturized the wall is will depend upon how well it will adhere to the wall. A surface that is primed or painted, smooth and free of debris is the most ideal situation when applying the Stikwood.

Let us know if you have any other questions and we would be happy to help!

Hi Bonnie,

Stikwood is a wood wall decor product and is not suitable as a flooring product. It is too thin, and cannot withstand any time of continued weight or pressure over a period of time.

Stikwood should not be installed around or near any type of extreme heat, or moisture. The adhesive will start to peel and the panels can come off the surface.

Stikwood is not recommended to be installed over wallpaper. The surface needs to be primed or painted before you apply the planks. As far as tiles go, it you can try a sample piece to make sure, but depending upon the texture of the tiles will depend on how strong the adhesive will hold. It can potentially work, but we recommend trying a sample piece first.

We do not recommend it, however; if you do, you need to paint it before it is installed and then it needs to be completely dry before you install. Once moisture is added, the wood will automatically expand, so you just need to keep that in mine.

Stikwood is currently a permanent solution only. If you try to remove the product, you may risk tearing the dry-wall and the Stikwood will no longer be able to be used.

We're working on a removable solution, so stay tuned!

As long as you use a surface that is prepped, primed and free of any debris it will work perfectly. Also, when applying it to the ceiling make sure you when you finish installing the Stikwood that you use a J-roller over the Stikwood to make sure that it adheres well.

Yes, you will almost always need to cut Stikwood in order for them to fit into the space you are needing it for. We recommend using a miter saw to cut the planks. If you visit our website, you can see our how-to video that will help you better understand how to apply the product.

Stikwood needs to be to applied to a smooth a primed surface. Your only option would be to sand down the ceiling and wipe it down, before you apply it.

We don't recommend that you use Stikwood in bathrooms, but we have had people use it in bathrooms that do not get used very often. Reason being, Stikwood is real wood, which means it will move with increased moisture levels. If you choose to use it in your bathroom, we stress the importance of using a moisture reader to ensure that the walls moisture levels do not exceed 8% before application.

Also, when Stikwood arrives, taking it out of the box and letting it sit for 48 hours to get acclimated to the room temperature before applied will help reduce any shrinking that may happen in the wood.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

You will need 104 sq. feet, and we recommend that you have an extra 5% to account for trimming. Total, you will need about 110 sq. feet.

We hope this helps!

You will need about 94 square feet. We also recommend an extra 5% to account for trimming. Boxes come in 20 or 40 square feet.

Hi Chris, For a 20' x 9' wall you would need 180 sf. We do recommend that you add 5% more for trimming especially if you have windows or doors to cut around. This would make a beautiful wall and we would love to see pictures when you are finished!

Hi, stikwood should adhere just fine. I would suggest getting a sample and testing it on the door before placing your order though. I don't see a problem but every situation is different. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

"Stikwood" Dark Cherry, 5' wide, 20SF malts: Oak w/Airpure Natural Finish. 20SF $160.00, 40SF $340? Stikwood is 100% real wood and is not a paper product. The planks are 3/16" thick and 5" wide and is tacked with a special adhesive that is rated for 10 years, thus making it a permanent product. You may use this as a backsplash, as long as it is sealed or in your case, covered with glass to protect any damage that water may cause. We have had many people use this as a backsplash application, we me make sure to let them know that the product must be sealed, as this is real wood and moisture/water can affect how the product holds up on the wall. We offer to seal the product face for you before we ship it to you, for $1 extra per square foot. If you would like the product sealed, please write so in the notes on your order and we will add the additional amount on the payment. Let us know if you have any other questions and we would be happy to help! Yesterday at 9:55AM You thanked Stikwood
