Kathleen Walsh Interiors, LLC We usually design a banquette like this at 23-24"seat depth with the understanding the the back cushion will be appx 3" thk. If your seat is narrower, we lessen the thickness of the back. Seat cushions are usually about 4" thk for decent comfort so the actual cabinetry below it is appx 14"H. All this we tweak client to client based on seat height and depth preferences, and depending on who will be sitting- ie kids get a narrower seat depth than adults etc etc. These were removeable cushions that have a way of attaching so they don't slide. As for the room's sizing with the door and circulation etc- that's a question best answered with your room's floor plan in front of us. Kathleen Walsh Interiors, LLC Try the "Super Elliptical 6-Star Base" table from Fritz Hansen or the "Eames Rectangular Conference Table w/Laminate top" from Herman Miller. The laminate top option available with both tables are really great for a table that's going to get a lot of use. Sometimes you can find this Saarinen table base alone, on ebay for example, and have a rectangular top made but we always felt that it really distorts the whole design and doesn't look good. You can, however, find a base and have a oval top made to your dimensions (instead of the table's std dimensions) so it works with your room's layout better.
